About Me

I started making websites back in the 1990s. They were passion projects devoted to video games, bands, and things I liked. Around that time, I began editing images in Photoshop, cutting together videos in iMovie, and getting sucked into the world of creative desktop publishing. I’ve been in it ever since.

Human-centered design is at the center of my process. I embrace the wide spectrum of interests and abilities in the world to make designs that are impactful and solve real-world problems. I focus on delivering products people love using. I like talking to people and getting them to tell their stories, so I can better understand the right solution. I have a natural curiosity for the world which helps me adapt with the times and learn about new things.

I live and work outside of Portland, Oregon with my wife, Mary, and our children, Rosemary and Conan.
